Getting started
How does Porio work?
You take or upload a photo of your skin. Porio reads it and reports what it sees: hydration, texture, and anything worth keeping an eye on. It then suggests products and habits to match.
What makes a good photo?
Lighting matters most. Face a window or use even, natural light, and skip harsh overhead or coloured bulbs. Take your makeup off first so the reading reflects your real skin. Hold the camera steady, fill the frame with the area you want checked, and leave filters off, since filters change what Porio sees.
Do I need an account?
You can try the basics without one. An account saves your past analyses so you can see how your skin changes over time.
Your skin analysis
Is Porio a medical diagnosis?
No. It gives a beauty observation, not a medical diagnosis. If something looks like it needs medical attention, the app will tell you to see a dermatologist.
How accurate is it?
Porio reports in bands (low, moderate, high) instead of exact percentages. Treat it as a useful read, not a clinical measurement. Lighting, camera quality, and angle all affect the result.
Why did my results change?
Lighting, time of day, camera, and angle all shift the reading, even when your skin hasn't changed. For consistent tracking, shoot in similar conditions each time.
My analysis failed or looks off
It's almost always the photo. Try again with better light, no makeup, and a steady, well-framed shot. If it keeps failing, email us with your device and what you're seeing.
Photos and privacy
What happens to my photo?
It's sent securely for analysis and isn't stored or shared beyond your session. Our Privacy Policy has the details.
How do I delete my data?

Can I use it on someone else's photo?
Porio is for your own skin. Don't upload photos of other people without their consent.
Subscriptions and billing
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play, so you cancel them there, not inside Porio.
- On iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, Porio.
- On Android:Play Store, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Porio.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date, or you'll be charged for the next period.
Does deleting the app cancel my subscription?
No. Cancel through the App Store or Google Play, even after you've deleted the app.
How do free trials work?
A trial turns into a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. You can cancel any time during the trial and keep access until it runs out.
Can I get a refund?
Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made through their stores, so those requests go through them. If a charge looks wrong, email us and we'll take a look.
Account and technical
Reset your password
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and follow the email we send. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
Delete your account
Request it in the app's settings, or through our Data & deletion page. This removes your account and its data.
The app keeps crashing
Update to the latest version first. If that doesn't fix it, restart the app or your phone, and check you're online, since the analysis needs a connection. Still stuck? Email us your device model and OS version.
Which devices work?
Porio runs on recent versions of iOS and Android. Keep your OS and the app updated.
